Message from the TTA Chairperson and Board
Once again, we are facing the challenge of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As President Cyril Ramaphosa said, we may be tired of Covid but Covid is not tired of us!
Our priority now is for each one of us to do our best to stop the spread of the virus during the current wave and work towards ensuring that the disruptions end as soon as possible.
The TTA board and office have not been idle and will continue to represent our members by interacting with stakeholders, government and private sector bodies.
These include liaising with the City of Tshwane, provincial and central government regarding issues that they can facilitate and which have an impact on tourism, such as safety and security, service delivery, maintenance and cleaning of public facilities. A Memorandum of Agreement is in its final stages.
As always, and especially during this extremely demanding time, collaboration between all stakeholders is of utmost importance. TTA is continuing to provide existing and new networking platforms and packaging opportunities which will go towards promoting Tshwane as a destination of choice.
We will work together towards the recovery and growth of tourism to unlock the potential that exists in our beautiful city.
Stay safe!
Nico Rowan
