TTA Education and Training Chapter key objectives
- Developing a recruitment facility on the website where members can advertise their recruitment needs and prospective employees can submit their CV’s on templates designed to enable efficient and effective communication between the concerned parties.
- Communicating opportunities for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) for learners to enable them to complete the practical components of their vocational studies.
- Upliftment of the food and beverage service component in the Tshwane hospitality and tourism industry through developing a training academy that will provide standard requirements and grading principles for the procurement of food and beverage attendants (old term – waiters). Research to be done among current staff members, identify the gaps, develop a training map for current and prospective employees and communicate availability of such candidates to employers. Buy-in of prospective employers is of utmost importance and therefore this chapter will co-opt influential industry members to assist with the designing and implementation of such a programme.
- Once a model is developed and successfully implemented for the food & beverage departments, a similar approach can be followed for housekeeping and front office staff.

TTA Restaurant Chapter key objectives
- Set up regular forums for discussion with the City Council to address infrastructure challenges and forums with law enforcement agencies regarding the fair and equitable policing of by-laws.
- Work with local, regional and national government, and other legislative bodies, to implement a solution to streamline and automate the application for permits, licenses and other business red tape.
- Form relationships with related bodies such as SA Property Owners Association, SA Music Rights Association etc. to negotiate on matters relevant to restaurants on behalf of members.
- Work with the TTA Chair to represent restaurants at a National Government level on formally recognised forums.
- Drive membership to a high number of restaurants so that Chapter can afford its own dedicated administrator to execute projects identified by restaurant members.
- Work with the TTA supplier chapter to source and vet professional services, at preferential rates, for restaurants in areas where support and assistance is needed.

The Meeting and Event Venue Chapter provides a platform for tourism businesses to network and exchange information and ideas to benefit tourism businesses in Tshwane.

- Establish chapter comprising of all meeting & event venues, event organisers and suppliers in the city and establish chapter committee with terms of reference
- Determine needs from chapter members, compile and implement action plan to address needs
- Establish relationships, regular meetings and formal structures between chapter and national, provincial and city government event bureaus and national event industry associations
- Run education and information campaign for all TTA members on bidding for, and hosting, events, in particular, sporting events, international trade shows and association congresses
- Lobby for, and participate in, destination marketing planning and execution by national, provincial and local government

The Tour Guide and Tour Operator Chapter provides a platform for tour operators in Tshwane to network and exchange information and ideas to the benefit of everyone.
TTA Tour Guide and Tour Operator Chapter key objectives
- Establish and get the chapter active again.
- Establish chapter committee.
- Education and assistance program for Tour Operator permits Remind Tour operators to renew their Permits to avoid having to do new applications.
- Build supplier list of services that can be interchanged between tour operators of TTA at “discounted rates” (this will assist members to have more competitive rates as opposed to members outside TTA to try and get more business).
- Engage with Attractions, Accommodation, Restaurant and Hotel Chapters to build a larger inventory of tours and packages within Tshwane with the objective of attracting new visitors and enticing existing visitors to stay longer.
- Establish a communication and educational visit program, together with the attractions, to facilitate the training and exposure of all hotel and accommodation front of house staff to the attractions and tours available in the city so that these staff can sell these experiences to visitors.

- Formulate programs that TTA members, and their guests, can contribute to to meet the needs of the identified charities (soup kitchens, linen donations, equipment donations, school uniform and equipment donations, etc.).
- The development of communities through basic life skills courses, supporting people affected by the impact of the current disease.
